What is Tween-80 (Polysorbate 80)?
Tween 80 is a viscous, water-soluble, non-ionic emulsifier derived from polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate. Slightly more hydrophobic than Tween-20, it allows for broader use in certain biochemical applications. It is pale yellow and widely used as an emulsifier and stabilizer.
